The First Sunday after the Octave of Epiphany.

  • Readings Proverbs 1:1-9 ; Romans 12:1-5 ; Luke 2:41-52

    • Psalm 84:1-4
1 O HOW amiable are thy dwellings, thou LORD of hosts!
2 My soul hath a desire and longing to enter into the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh rejoice in the living God.
3 Yea, the sparrow hath found her an house, and the swallow a nest, where she may lay her young; even thy altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house; they will be alway praising thee.

  • Lectionary Chart (for our readings) can be found here: trinity.anglican.center/lectionary

Other Announcements:

  • For Epiphany season we are using the Anglican Standard Text in the traditional language and classical ordering, which is following the Prayer Book pattern of the 17th-20th century. Some of the classical language is different than the Ecumenical (Renewed Ancient). Please see this essay by C.S. Lewis, Miserable Offenders, for more about the phrases in the traditional text.

  • Note that I can be reached for emergencies or urgent matters on my cell or over email, but with the arrival of our newborn, I am not presently scheduling regular meetings. If you have need for visitation, including reserve sacrament, or have prayer needs, please reach out to Deacon Nancy.

  • Annual Meeting is after service on January 25th.

  • Events as they are added will be at https://trinityanglican.net/#calendar

Blessings,
Fr Jonah +
