Other Announcements:
Contemplative Prayer and Compline, Thursday December 4 @ 6pm
This will be a time of guided contemplative prayer, with room for intercessions, and closing with Compline. Compline is a brief, historic office (office coming from 'officium', lit., "duty") of prayer, begun in a monastic context. It was typically the last formal set of prayers of the day (compline being from the Latin completorium, the completion of the waking day.)
As announced in August and the last two weeks: beginning this sunday, we will be offering intinction (the priest dipping the bread into a separate cup of wine, and giving it to you) instead of individual cups. We will have two ways to take communion: Common Chalice and Intinction.
For a refresher on Common Chalice and addressing other ways of intinction, see the Pastoral Note on the Common ChaliceFor Advent, we will be using what is called in the 2019 Prayer Book, the penitental order, in which the Confession portion of the liturgy is observed before the reading of Scripture.
Events as they are added will be at https://trinityanglican.net/#calendar
Blessings,
Fr Jonah +
