dear friends,
we have now entered eclipse season. today is also the autumnal equinox.
there are a lot of interpretations online on what this could mean.
here is my take:
when celestial events like the eclipse and equinox happen, energies are heightened. an eclipse for example is three times more powerful than a regular full moon.
you could feel extra emotional, delicate, and even negative. old feelings or patterns you thought you've resolved may resurface again.
sometimes it could feel like you're going backwards but you're not. you're always moving forward in your growth and evolution.
however, growth isn't linear. it's cyclical. energy always cycles back around, including the not so favorable ones.
cosmic events allow for all this to be brought to your awareness. they are grand opportunities to transmute lower frequencies into higher ones; like an alchemist turning base metal into gold.
so, what to do? cultivate stillness when drama arises in your mind. feel your feelings but don't believe your thoughts. transformation happens when you accept, allow, and not judge. in other words, when you're present.
and that's it. nothing too complicated. use these celestial events to be the buddha amidst the edsa traffic.

🪴 this week: i published a video on raising your frequency. i talked about being single on the podcast. i spoke about my tattoos in my diary.
a 4 step process to raising your frequency.
i've been single for all of my life. i've never had a long term relationship or called anyone my boyfriend. this was an obstacle filled with loneliness and grief.
but i no longer feel those things anymore.
in part one, i talk about how it has been for me during my pubescent years up to my early 20s. next week is part two.
i tell the story of my tattoos: how i got them and the possible meanings behind each one. all three were spontaneous and preceded by major events in my life.
• unexpected conversation w/ jim morrison: a "podcast interview" by rick rubin with the leading frontman of the doors. not a perfect masterpiece but i enjoyed it. rick re-contextualized jim's thinking in an interview he did in the 60s to make it fit into the modern day. a lot of haters on this one, but i personally think it checks the vibes of tetragrammaton.
• amadeus (1984): a dramatic portrayal of the life of wolfang amadeus mozart. this film touches on mozart's genius and madness; exploring themes of jealousy, rivalry, and tragedy. a perfect blend of history and artistry. ironic and comedic. a cinematic delight.
• why we're obsessed with vampires: i'm in my vampire era. i'm whiter than ever and have become more nocturnal with each passing night. my mom thinks i might as well move to romania. this was an article written in 2009 during the twilight craze, but apropos to my current disposition.
• three little pigs (1933): this is about as classic as it gets. this disney symphony tranporte me back to my childhood. i was laughing the whole time watching it for the first time after decades. it's so cute. the first pig is my spirit animal.
until next week, dear friends.
may you only be attracted to things that are good for you.
xx
