Kundalini workshop next weekend + gifs about breathing
Kia ora, friends! How's it going? How are you doing?
Okay, before we address my awesome workshop next weekend, let's talk about the State Of Stuff. A lot of people are stressed right now. The media cycle is endless with "bad news" on repeat and we kinda have to keep up to date with it to make sure we can be, like, alive. No matter how you feel, that much attention to the news cycle is pretty toxic, yeah? Let's start our weekend out softly together.
I invite you to take about 3 minutes to do some breathing with me. That's probably about as long as you would spend reading this email, or making a cup of tea, or just spacing out. Put on a timer or a pleasant short song (this one is nice and the album cover is incredible). Close your eyes and tune into your own slow breath, or maybe use the gif below -- inhale slow and full as the circle expands. Feel your lungs fill, your belly expand, your chest rise... experience the whole breath. As the circle becomes smaller, slowly exhale, appreciating the sweet release and relaxation of every muscle letting go of the air. Breathe breathe breathe. It's alright. You got this.
Did you know that there is a whole world of gifs made for breathing and anxiety? Little yantras to help you get grounded. Some of them are pretty weird, like... okay........ but if a flaming marble on a birthday cake works for you, awesome!
Now, the official stuff: if you're in Wellington, come hang out with me next weekend for a cool Kundalini Yoga workshop on strengthening your intuition and developing ~psychic abilities~. It's Saturday, November 21st, from 10am-1pm at the Innermost Gardens. We'll do some movement and meditation and follow the whole thing up with a big vegan meal, yogi tea, and lots of golden milk (I will make more golden milk than last time, since I know that's why y'all are really coming). It's gonna be great, I'm super stoked! I can already foretell... we're going to have a good time.......
If you haven't already signed up, just reply to this email and I'll put you on the list :)
Ok, take care. See you later!
