Yeah yeah I missed the deadline. So what. Been a little sick and run down this week so enjoyed a relaxing evening last night and can only apologise to everyone for not doing the links. I was very surprised to not have a Tweet from Grace this morning asking me where her links were also? Everything ok Grace? Anyway, here we are. I’ve bought a Christmas tree, told everyone about it on the socials, and now finishing up making some french onion soup. Oooh la la. I’m also half way through ‘bag of cans’. Italian singer Adriano Celentano released a song in the 70s with nonsense lyrics meant to sound like American English, apparently to prove Italians would like any English song.

Japan's remotest, most isolated and least used railway stations. Via ever fabulous Irène DB on Twitter. I did think of linking to the actual Japanese site but found it quite hard to navigate not knowing Japanese. I really should have learnt this during lockdown one.

Why aren’t we more productive with all these computers we have?
Emails are quicker than letters etc so why are we still bogged down in all this admin? Really fascinating Twitter thread. 

Illustrating an issue
Safari somehow showed me a link to this old video of Jo Burt illustrating an issue of MBUK and his creation Mint Sauce. You should be following on Instagram and he’s doing a really nice illustrated series at present which will be auctioned soon. 

Why do old computers go yellow?
I appreciate not all will share my love of all things retro computing and tech but I did find this interesting. Your mileage may vary though.

I’ve linked to it before but this episode of The Happiness Lab was fascinating, thanks Emma. Also about to buy this book which is referenced in the podcast. 

Tribes and beliefs
A really fascinating article about our biases and what we want to believe even if that means sharing something that’s untrue. That’s a terrible summary, but worth a read. We’re all susceptible to it and far less objective than we think we are.
