Another week zooms by and we head to the weekend to hold our loved ones dearly and catch up on sleep, rest and general life laundry. You have watched Succession this week haven't you? I do hope so as it has brought a sense of meaning back into my life again. When you read this I will have just woken up in a farm field in Faversham ready to ride the Brother Big Un event. 120km of lovely off-road around Kent in the lovely autumn colours and looking forward to a big gulp of fresh air and mucky trails. It's my favourite time of year for riding.

A really brilliant interview from Lauren Laverne on Radio 4 Desert Island Discs. Back up link here in case the BBC link dies in the future. Huge fan of Mr Yorke generally but this is a really revealing interview and pushes him further up the "National Treasure' register in my humble opinion.

andHe refused to let the production team use 'quality' to determine whether a kid's art made it into the gallery. It should just be a straight selection of the mail bag.
I heard him asked once what you do if a child shows you a picture which is completely unrecognisable as anything. He said 'You say " How interesting! Tell me about it."'
The second quote is something I think we could all learn from.
