Hello, 

Another week of highs and lows but one week that can ultimately get itself in the frozen sea and swim-away-off thank you very much. But all of that is now behind us as it's another exciting lockdown weekend awaits (for those of us fortunate enough to live in the UK). I'm determined to bake that last Ottolenghi recipe from this article (the first one), drink too many Gin Martinis with Emma, put the world to rights, play records, smoke a fag out the window and maybe even risk a bike ride if I can face a 'gravel ride' into Kent after all that snow. What I wouldn't give to get in the van and go MTBing right now though. 

Firstly some admin... Jo Burt's little picture book (I can see him grinding his teeth at this description) raised a staggering £8,286 for Cancer Research. Quite an achievement and also testament to how much people love both Mint Sauce and care very deeply about supporting Cancer Research UK. Thank you if you clicked on the link and donated last week.

Postcards of leisure centres
Quite special. And spurred lots of chat about going to the bigger leisure centre in the next town that had slides (flumes) and a wave machine. Swindon Oasis was a twice yearly treat, now sadly closed. 

The nicest way to cycle from...
An excellent series of videos for those cycling in London. It takes years to work out all the nice little side streets to go places and these videos are a lovely way of showing people how to get around without trusting a route on a map. Jon is also an excellent follow on Twitter too.

Catchy title huh? I really like how these simple studies seem to offer such a different way of appreciating these buildings, simply by removing all the noise around them. I wish I had thought of that! Of course this is via Irène DB. The photographer is also on Instagram.
