Hello, 

Another busy week chalked up to experience. My ageing white van (driven by an ageing white man) decided to leave some of its engine on the M4 on Thursday evening so I now have an unexpected train journey with which to find more dog links, sift through my big list of Twitter links, sort and add ‘amazing’ ‘brilliant’ or ‘extraordinary’ in the caption and send to my 171 lovely subscribers - that’s you. Basically, it’s not late this week because something went wrong. 

In more positive news I enjoyed my first bivvy of the year in sub-zero temps on Monday evening with a friend. You can’t beat sleeping out in the fresh (very fresh) air and waking up in the hills and making a coffee. My bivvy pal wasn’t so pleased with my constant snoring on the other hand. Oh well, sorry Adam, Emma has to deal with this all the time.

A Cyclist on the English Landscape 
Ok, brace yourselves, we’re going deep in on the superlatives on this one. Some of the best cycling photos I’ve seen in a very long time. Really quite incredible. Originally via the lovely Grace and also many others. We had a week in St Leonard’s last October for a holiday (where many of these photos are shot) and loved the place. Mark, when are you coming over from the USA to ride here?

Every time Keith Brymer-Jones cries on the Great Pottery Throwdown
Not from the current series but still absolutely charming. He finds such beauty in the work presented that he often has a little cry at it. Totally here for it! We should all have a little weep at the beauty presented to us in our lives at times. It’s quite hard to watch without weeping yourself. Nothing wrong with a bit of eye water at something nice in the world.

Good night Martin
An excellent compilation of some of the best moments of Martin (Paul Ritter) from Friday Night Dinner. I also did not know that he had a part in Chernobyl (even though I’ve seen it twice) which shows his extraordinary range of acting ability.
