For the past 10 years now, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) has been capturing an image of the Sun every 0.75 seconds. To celebrate, NASA created this 61-minute time lapse video of all ten years, with each second representing one day in the Sun’s life.
Splendid isolation
A beautiful photo essay and series of interviews with four modern hermits. Sounds pretty appealing sometimes after a busy day on Zoom. Thanks to Will for the link.

That thing we all do with news and terrible events. Pawing at our black fondle slabs and hoping for something interesting to appear. It's a new term for me but one which describes the way in which social media often leaves us feeling utterly bereft and seems like a way of killing time looking for the very thing that seems to make us so sad.

I've posted this before and I don't care. One of the best few minutes of cinema ever. Largely improvised and you can see them struggling to not laugh. Love it.
Trawsfynydd Nuclear Power
Gorgeous architectural photos of the interior and a few of the exterior. But so so strange to think that it still won't be finally decommissioned until 2083. This also reminded me of the film Into Eternity which raises the question of how do you communicate to someone in 100,000 years not to excavate here?
The shocking story of Wirecard
A German payment processor that ended up with €1.9bn 'missing' from its balance sheet. Constantly impressed by the FT and their reporting and I really need to find the money for a subscription.
How to build a squirrel proof bird feeder
Some people have too much time on their hands but thankfully they do and make things like this. Watch how Phat Gus defeats an eight part assault course to get the nuts. Thanks to Nicola for the link.
