Amplifier Stories for September 14, 2021
Hello from the past! I'm writing this email the weekend before you're hopefully reading this, and there's also hopefully a new issue of Amplifier stories ready for you (if I did everything correctly). I'm AFK for the week, my first time leaving the immediate vicinity of my home since March 2020. In the meantime, I leave you with a mix of great songs released this year, some very recently and others just because I thought they helped complete the vibe (like Tinashe's excellent "Bouncin'", which came out back in July.
Another thing I forgot to mention last week: due to popular demand, I have set up playlists on Spotify and Apple Music featuring all my picks from the most recent newsletter incarnation as well as this new form Amplifier has taken. You can follow(? subscribe? add? who can say) those at the links below. One thing I will mention, though, is that when I get back from vacation I am starting to hope experimenting with the format of the stories on the web version a bit, adding more commentary to my picks as text and/or audio, and you'll lose out on that if you only follow the playlists. So feel free to add these playlists to your rotation, but keep in mind that you're only getting part of the story there!
