Throbbing Cabin is in Leelanau County whose local weekly newspaper, the Leelanau Enterprise, publishes the dispatch calls to 911. Additional reporting by The Ticker.

Wednesday, Jan. 19
2:08 a.m. — Solon Township — Officer came across a man walking on the side of the road holding a bag. Says he came from Partridge Run and that after thinking about it, it’s probably not a good idea to be outside right now. Given a ride to Partridge Run.
10:27 a.m. — Kasson Township — Found dog running through yard. Big, brindle. Shock collar. No name on tag.
6 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller’s former girlfriend came into house/room while caller was sleeping. Will not leave caller alone.
6:14 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller receiving threatening text messages.
9:44 p.m. — Bingham Township — Daughter staying with parents in Suttons Bay. She lives in Traverse City. She went to a doctor’s appointment and never came home. Left appointment at 4 p.m. Attempted call to her at 5:35 p.m., but it went straight to voicemail. (No emergency. Her phone died and she was charging it.)
Thursday, Jan. 20
6:11 p.m. — Bingham Township — Man blowing snow into the road.
Friday, Jan. 21
7:45 p.m. — Leland Township — Basketball game against Elk Rapids. Caller is concerned because the tension in the gym is building because it’s a good game. Caller would like a deputy on standby in case anything happens.
Saturday, Jan. 22
4 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Male just came to caller’s door. Appears to be out of it and told the caller his vehicle is stuck across the road. Male is wearing black coat with hood, black rim glasses and long, thin hair. Approximately in his 30s. Slow speech. Possibly has been drinking. Taken into custody after sobriety check.
11:24 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller is concerned about her baby’s father. He just got out of the hospital with a head injury. Caller reports he jumped out of the car near Division and Front Street in Traverse City. (Grand Traverse County law enforcement notified.)
Sunday, Jan. 23
10:47 a.m. — Leland Township — 4-year-old called 911 and wanted to ask about Superman. Law enforcement engaged child in conversation. (Deputy dis patched to check on the situation. Grandpa found the phone in the toy box. No emergencies there.)
Monday, Jan. 24
9:50 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Contractor picked up toilet from Home Depot and has not installed it or delivered it.
1:33 p.m. — Solon Township — Someone filed an unemployment claim in caller’s name.
8:56 p.m. — Kasson Township — Truck parked next to dumpster at the Lions Club community building since Dec. 28. (Caller was advised that if he wants the car removed, he will have to call a tow service as it is privately owned property.)
Wednesday, Jan. 26
9:56 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is going to retrieve some belongings from house she was taking care of. Would like deputies on stand by as she does not feel safe going alone.
10:50 a.m. — Bingham Township — Neighbors’ creamcolored dog keeps coming onto caller’s yard and defecating. Also comes on caller’s porch and barks at her dog.
12:35 p.m. — Bingham Township — Someone is trying to open credit cards in caller’s name.
4:20 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is stuck in friend’s driveway and prior to calling his friend had pushed him around. Caller doesn’t want things to escalate.
4:24 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller has received forged checks.
Thursday, Jan. 27
5:14 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller and his wife are just in the living room. Caller’s sister came into living room and started harassing him and his wife. No one has been violent. Is starting to slam things around.
9:59 a.m. — Solon Township — Motorist saw the word “help” imprinted into the snow bank. (Per law enforcement. “help” is written in the snow bank, but it looks very old. Everything OK with homeowner.)
6:46 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller said snowmobiler was possibly trying to get her attention. No sure if they needed assistance. Caller did not feel comfortable stopping.
Friday, Jan. 28
5:16 a.m. — Kasson Township — Looks like someone is sleeping in their car. Pulled off in a parking spot facing the wrong direction of traffic. (Seems fine. He was just really tired and wanted to pull over to get some sleep for a bit. No drinking issues here, per law enforcement.)
Saturday, Jan. 29
10:15 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller believes someone took her prescription medication. (After a more thorough search, she located the medication.)
Sunday, Jan. 30
2:30 a.m. — Leland Township — Truck parked at the end of the road. Subject got off the lake fishing around 10:30 p.m. and fell asleep.
Monday, Jan. 31
10:22 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Heard male in the background. Arguing and throwing things.
6:20 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Two Great Pyrenees came out and attacked caller’s dog. Dogs still running loose. Ongoing issue with owners not doing anything about it. Caller called back and advised her dog does have an injury to its hind leg. Going to take it in to the emergency. Wants it on the record.
7:30 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller received a letter from Wells Fargo that he applied for a loan. He has not done so but is in contact with Wells Fargo now.
Wednesday, Feb. 2
7:58 p.m. — Kasson Township — Garage on fire. Three people inside home, now out. Fully engulfed in flames.
Thursday, Feb. 3
4:18 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller would like a gentleman at the bar to be trespassed from the building. He is being “sketchy” and almost got into a fight with another patron at the bar. Wearing jeans, a black coat and gray tennis shoes. Early 40s. (Trespassed per law enforcement.)
Friday, Feb. 4
12:41 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller needs someone to be removed from his home. Subject is naked and harassing caller’s daughter. No weapons.
Saturday, Feb. 5
10:47 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller received suspicious mail. Would like to speak with a deputy about it.
7:57 p.m. — Kasson Township — Caller reports a large snowdrift across the roadway. She had to swerve into the opposite lane to avoid it.
9:55 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reports that he and his wife are in the process of getting a divorce. Caller’s son lives with mom and has all of the cell phones that the family used before. Caller wants the phones back so he can turn them in and get on a new plan but the son will not return and keeps ignoring the caller.
Monday, Feb. 7
12:23 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller reports bank fraud. Debit card hacked twice. Needs police report.
5:47 p.m. — Leland Township — Person locked in the bathroom.
8:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is having trouble with someone in the home. He started talking back and throwing things around. Verbally abusive. (Per law enforcement subject has lived in the home for six months. Parties are separated. Trying to make arrangement to get the male half out of there.)
Get vaccinated and mask up! There is a pandemic going on.
