Dear Internet,

For the last few weeks I’ve been high on writing. I want to research, write, and talk about it. I’ve been using Facebook for my dumpster feed, with some successful engagement, and also here.

But you know I’m a wordy bitch and your time is precious, so I decided to start another substack! Because of course I did.

lisa writes stories is the answer.

A few times a month, I’ll be dropping missives on how I’m doing with my writing, where i’m at, and anything I’ve gotten published. In addition to my book stuff, I’m back to writing flash and short stories again. I haven’t published fiction since 2018 (!). I’ve been mostly writing reviews which I stopped in January of 2022. So, the other night I found my Scrivening of all my flash and short fiction, cleaned up a few and sent them on their way. I hope a few find good homes. I cannot believe it’s been nearly five years since I last published something resembling fiction.

But there you go.

So please sign up! Tell your friends! Threaten your enemies!

See you there!
