8:36pm 1/1/2025 Firworks Lake Leelanau, Neighbor, about 2 houses down, setting off fireworks. House is a rental, caller does not want to be seen or speak with them himself.

11:13am 1/2/2025 Break Enter Leelanau Cty., Someone tried to break into trailer on property. 

Friday, January 3

3:44 a.m. — Cleveland Township Caller has a propane stove and the knob had been bumped and the stove had been on all night and the house has a strong odor of gas.

11:45am 1/3/2025 Scam Centerville Twp., Caller concerned because he was just on the phone with a female who demanded he give her gift cards.

Saturday, January 4

10:01am 1/4/2025 Info Lake Leelanau, Whole row of mailboxes have been destroyed and mail is strewn about. Caller already tried calling the road commissioner and the post office but was unable to get ahold of anybody. 

4:53pm 1/4/2025 Suspicious Incident Lake Leelanau, Someone egged caller’s house last night. Thinks it was an ex. 

Sunday, January 5

2:40pm 1/5/2025 Info Northport, Male was in caller’s car when she came out of cafe around 12:30, he stated it was a mistake and “ran off” quickly.

Monday, January 6

1:39pm 1/6/2025 Civil Empire Twp., Caller has been trying to move her things from where she was employed and housed. After leaving, she heard from another party that owner was throwing the rest of her things in the dumpster.

Tuesday, January 7

11:09am 1/7/2025 Suspicious Incident S West-Bay Shore Dr., Last night there were two males that came in and purchased $1600 on scratch offs from a card. 

4:54pm 1/7/2025 Suspicious Incident Lake Leelanau, Found footprints that came through the fence gate, all around the house, up onto the deck up to the slider door.

5:41 p.m. — Kasson Township Someone hanging out around caller’s property.

Thursday, January 9

10:52am 1/9/2025 Fraud Lake Leelanau, Someone started a website selling drones and the site has all of the caller’s information listed as the contact for the site. 

2:28 p.m. — Leland Township Embezzlement.

Friday, January 10

11:30am 1/10/2025 Animal Control Leelanau Cty., Dog ran after deer last night.

2:23pm 1/10/2025 Traffic Violation Lake Leelanau, Caller concerned for female driver, seemed “out of it”. Checked the driver, nothing is out of sorts. 

4:23pm 1/10/2025 Unconscious Leelanau Cty., Guy at air pump laying in snow.

5:19pm 1/12/2025 Citizen Assist Suttons Bay Twp., Walking the trails and got disoriented. Currently helping them, with the map pings and they are attempting to follow their own tracks.

5:28pm 1/12/2025 Motor Vehicle Crash Kasson Twp., Caller's daughter was driving, slid into tree and sign. No injuries, they will need an accident report and will try to get the car out themselves. Called back, requested Bingham to get them out. 

Monday, January 13

11:30 a.m. — Leland Township Fraudulent charges discovered on credit card.

6:05 p.m. — Cleveland Township Caller helping driver that went off the road. Elderly male off the road. His car won’t start, so he’s waiting in caller’s car.

8:54pm 1/13/2025 Welfare Check Leelanau Cty., Got a call from individual, concerned because her friend has not been answering her phone, and now it’s going straight to voicemail. Subject is okay, her phone has just been shut off.

Tuesday, January 14

4:05am 1/14/2025 Animal Control Suttons Bay Twp., Caller is reporting a white horse in the road. Horse is back in barn now.

10:49 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller’s identity was stolen and was advised that she needed a police report.

11:10am 1/14/2025 Misc Juvenile Suttons Bay Twp., Would like to speak with officer regarding vapes that were confiscated.

Wednesday, January 15

12:41pm 1/15/2025 Info Leelanau Cty., Found trash bins open when she arrived home last night, thought it was suspicious. When she checked, 3 trash bags were no longer there, but pickup usually doesn't happen until Fridays. Concerned that someone is mining personal or financial data. 

1:32pm 1/15/2025 Suspicious Person Northport, Suspicious person walking around peering into the windows. No public disturbance occurred.

Thursday, January 16

3:38am 1/16/2025 Assist Dept Elmwood Twp., Assisting Grand Traverse with a runaway juvenile who cut teather earlier in the night and now wants to turn himself in. 

11:51am 1/16/2025 Welfare Check Lake Leelanau, Saw individual standing out by the road, didn’t appear to be properly dressed for the conditions.

3:42pm 1/16/2025 Animal Control S West-Bay Shore Dr., Great pyrenees are at his residence right now. Saw tracks but not the dogs, will call owner. 

Friday, January 17

4:32 p.m. — Leelanau Township Cell phone repeating owner of an iPhone was in an accident. (Male in custody.)

4:49 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller received a letter from the Children’s Advocacy Center advising neighbors there is a potential pedophile in the neighborhood. (Contact made with caller and offered suggestions of what he could do.)

Saturday, January 18

10:51am 1/18/2025 Scam Elmwood Twp., Son is being scammed by someone he met on TikTok. 

1:44 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller had a space heater plugged in and can smell burning wires a few hours ago. Now it still smelling, but it isn’t hot.

2:37 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Caller wants to speak with an officer regarding a process server who came to the residence.

Monday, January 20

1:37 a.m. — Elmwood Township Subject is causing problems at the house. Caller would like her removed. (One in custody on Leelanau County warrant.)

8:51am 1/20/2025 Fire Carbon Monoxide Elmwood Twp., Individual is in hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning. Propane is turned off now. Doors are shut. Home thoroughly checked. No discernible hazards found.

12:20 p.m. — Centerville Township Subject has caller’s mail and will not give it back.

2:07 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller reports stolen handgun.

7:02am 1/21/2025 Vehicle Ditch S Good Harbor Trl., Called to state that she was in the ditch.

12:11pm 1/21/2025 Citizen Assist Lake Leelanau, Neighbor concerned for subject. 

Wednesday, January 22

12:21am 1/22/2025 Fire Smoke S West-Bay Shore Dr., Caller is driving home and she advised that she could see a large amount of smoke in the area. No flames visible. Appears to be blowing snow off of one of the boats. Checking behind the buildings on pier, just in case. 

9:29 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller was presented a fake $100 bill in a drop-off transaction and was processed later in the day and discovered.

6:22 p.m. — Leelanau Township Caller’s dog was attacked and its very expensive collar was taken. Bit by one of the dogs.

Thursday, January 23

6:41 a.m. Deer ran into the side of caller’s vehicle.

9:11 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller had an issue with a customer last night. (Subject was contacted and formally trespassed.)

11:20am 1/23/2025 Info Cedar, 2 snowmobiles all over the hill, caller is worried about their safety.

11:47am 1/23/2025 Info Northport Twp., Strange accident on the property– male pulled up to the pump/vacuum cleaner, he went to leave and yanked the vacuum cleaner off.

1:05pm 1/23/2025 Animal Control Leelanau Cty., Pig jumped out of the trailer from the vehicle in front of him, it is walking down the road now. Another caller states there are two pigs in the area. One of the pigs may be injured. 

1:30pm 1/23/2025 Citizen Assist Leelanau Cty., Caller is stuck inside her car and the doors won’t open. She is stuck in her driveway in the snow. She is out of the car.

5:01 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller received a threatening phone call. Said horrible things to caller.

8:56pm 1/25/2025 Disorderly Lake Leelanau, Trying to get aggressive male out of restaurant.

11:37am 1/26/2025 Suspicious Incident S West-Bay Shore Dr., Two youths are snowboarding on a newly constructed staircase. On arrival no one was around. Saw vehicle tracks and snowboarding tracks on the hill. 

Tuesday, January 28

6:37am 1/28/2025 Citizen Assist Leelanau Cty., Caller is planning on terminating an employee and they are worried that he may cause a scene.

3:58pm 1/28/2025 Info Leelanau Hwy., A week ago caller noticed a plow truck that looked stuck and off the road, now there’s a 5 gallon bucket full of hydraulic fluid with no lid left on the side of the road.

Wednesday, January 29

12:33am 1/29/2025 Suspicious Vehicle S West-Bay Shore Dr., Called out with a vehicle at the market. The driver was pulled over to safely take a text.

11:40am 1/29/2025 Fire Structure Lake Leelanau, Snowmobile on fire right next to a trailer. Road commission notified for water/ice on roadway, response en route. Smoke and flames visible, requires that the power company cut power. 20 minute status: all secure, fire is mostly knocked down, working hot spots. 

4:22pm 1/29/2025 Civil S West-Bay Shore Dr., Subject took items from caller and suspects others. Never reports that items were sold and doesn’t pay commission. Closed the business, now her phone is disconnected. 

5:04pm 1/29/2025 Neighbor Suttons Bay Twp., Caller has an aggressive neighbor forcing her way into the house. 

Thursday, January 30

10:18pm 1/30/2025 Road Hazard Lake Leelanau, Out with broken water spigot spraying water onto M22. Water has been shut off, M22 slippery at that location. 

Friday, January 31

9:36am 1/31/2025 Larceny Centerville Twp., Taking money out of account.

2:29 p.m. — Solon Township Single vehicle rollover. Single occupant in the vehicle. States no injuries but can’t get out of the car.

4:26 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Subject calling on behalf of mother. Gave Social Security number and personal information to an unknown caller.

7:22pm 1/31/2025 Stab/Gunshot E Traverse Hwy., Male at the ER. Accidentally shot himself in the foot with a shotgun while rabbit hunting. 

9 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Disorderlymale refusing to leave. Male half trespassed from the casino.

Saturday, February 1

4:44 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Caller is reporting trying to make a payment with a coupon he got from coast to coast. They would not provide a confirmation number.

3:23pm 2/1/2025 Motor Vehicle Crash Elmwood Twp., Caller is a postal worker, male backed out of his driveway and broke the tail light on the postal vehicle.  

8:55 p.m. — Kasson Township Truck on the side of the road. It appears to be abandoned. Making contact with some individuals nearby. (The are out hunting coyotes.)

Sunday, February 2

11:33am 2/2/2025 VCSA Lake Leelanau, Red pickup truck parked at the pump for over 2 hours. Hasn’t pumped any gas but refusing to move the truck because he doesn’t have any gas and doesn’t have money to pay for gas.

4:33 p.m. — Elmwood Township Would like a welfare check on an individual. (Subject shoveling back porch.)

5:02 p.m. — Elmwood Township People screaming in the woods behind the trailer park. Might be coming from Birch Point Road. They heard a bunch of snowmobiles. (No signs of anything in the area, per law enforcement.)

Monday, February 3

8:58 a.m. — Cleveland Township Caller say her friend was supposed to pick her up for a doctor appoint and now she isn’t answering her phone. (She is fine. Didn’t have phone with her. She’ll call forthwith.)

10:45 a.m. — Bingham Township Caller needs to collect personal items. Silver Subaru Forester with female half at the pole barn on the property. Now getting some items from the house.

11:31am 2/3/2025 Trespassing Suttons Bay Twp., Daughter keeps coming into house and stealing items. Would like her trespassed.

1:19 p.m. — Elmwood Township Asking assistance with a piece of mail that may belong to the person caller has a protection order against. (Letter was just court appearance notice. This is a non-issue, per law enforcement.)

4:42 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Deputy out with someone blowing snow into the road. (Spoke with homeowner. He is now more knowledgeable about the law.)

6:58 p.m. — Cleveland Township House across the street has plowed their snow into the road right-of-way. Happens often. Caller does not know the homeowner’s name. (Contact made with homeowner, Advised them to push snow out of the road right-of-way.)

Tuesday, February 4

2:36 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township Missing juvenile subject’s parents called them directly about her being missing. She has been gone since Jan. 30 but they just reported it tonight. (Youth returned home safely at 5:30 a.m.)

11:29 a.m. — Leland Township Man outside with tape measure. (Manager was there making repairs. No emergency.)

12:02 p.m. — Kasson Township At least four cows in the road near “the barn.” Contacted owner. He is also enroute. (Most of the animals have been rounded up. The rest are well off the road and the owner is going for his tractor to assist with rounding them up.)

1:09 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township Man has been cutting trees along Dunn’s Farm Road.

1:25 p.m. — Leland Township Caller came home and found items moved around in the garage.

Wednesday, February 5

9:14am 2/5/2025 Citizen Assist Leelanau Cty., Caller has questions about private plowing laws - there is a male who plows and pushes snow across the roadway and onto caller’s property, caller’s wife hits the chunks left in the road. 

3:43 p.m. — Cleveland Township Vehicle stuck in Pyramid Point parking area. No cell service except 911. Two adults no medical conditions. Will need a tow.

Thursday, February 6

11:59 a.m. — Solon Township Subject fell Sunday and in pain. Crawling around. Caller has tried multiple times to reach the subject. (Contact made by law enforcement. Subject is claiming she is OK. Declines ambulance and hospital. She was napping.

1:18 p.m. — Elmwood Township Caller has separated from her ex and filed the eviction process. County on Feb. 14 where the eviction will be decided and then will have 10 days before he has to be completely

4:18 p.m. — Cleveland Township Woman walking in the roadway with a stroller. She does this regularly. Caller is worried for he safety. Was walking north on Maple City Road.

5:30 p.m. —Elmwood Township Vehicle in the ditch on the north side of the road. Doesn’t look recent. 25 feet down the ditch.

Friday, February 7

2:37am 2/7/2025 Citizen Assist Suttons Bay Twp., Husband woke up and is delirious, caller went to the bathroom and when she came out he was gone and the car gone/ Spoke with husband, advised him that he is going to the hospital and that their vehicle is in the parking lot. Clear with no report.

Saturday, February 8

10:49 a.m. — Elmwood Township Caller slid through stop sign.

6:03pm 2/8/2025 Warrant Arrest Solon Twp., Called out by CO4119, subject was out on the lake fishing. Escorted him back to the Solon Township Park. Awaiting the arrival of 45-27.

11:54pm 2/8/2025 Suspicious Vehicle S West-Bay Shore Dr., 45-27 called out with suspicious vehicle at Speedway. Subject was just “relaxing” at Speedway, will be clear. 

Sunday, February 9

9:50am 2/9/2025 Suspicious Incident Lake Leelanau, Caller in lobby, plow truck arrived at about 1:00am, he confronted the driver about possibly doing it at a different time. Driver became very aggressive, used his truck to almost hit him.

Monday, February 10

3:34 a.m. Elmwood Township Customer called. Went into store and door was unlocked.

8:28am 2/10/2025 Larceny Lake Leelanau, Caller believes one of his kids stole the keys, just wants the keys found, doesn’t want to charge anyone. He knows who has the keys, doesn’t want to make this a criminal report. Will follow up with caller on Wednesday.

1:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township Dogs jumped fence. One male. One female. St. Bernard. (Dogs have been found.)

2:46 p.m. — Empire Township Disorderly person at the Post Office. Other half called, stating he did not make any threats and the other caller is lying. He and his wife are waiting outside the post office in a blue Ford F150.

5:08pm 2/10/2025 Suspicious Incident Lake Leelanau, Caller went into apartment to get dog and saw that there were two men in the apartment that he does not know and doesn’t think should be there.

10:45 p.m. — Empire Township Son is trying to get into his house and he is not supposed to be there. Locked out of the house but he is still trying to get in.

Tuesday, February 11

10:09 a.m. — Cleveland Township Former boyfriend is harassing caller and her boyfriend on Facebook. Caller is concerned about the safety of herself, her kids and her dogs. (Law enforcement suggested the boyfriend send a message advising her wants no more contact and then block the number.

4:54 p.m. — Centerville Township 6-year-old Golden Retriever got under the porch and is stuck in the fence. Dog has been removed from under the porch.

5:15 p.m. — Leelanau Township Trespassing with snowmobiles.
