Aluminium recyclers warn of EU ETS hit
European aluminium recyclers warned that the EU ETS benchmark update for 2026–2030 cuts free carbon allowances by ~34% vs. 2021–2025 levels, significantly raising production costs for recyclers who cannot pass prices through in internationally-set aluminium markets.
