November at All Saints Amsterdam

Got this forwarded by a friend? Hey! We’re All Saints, a young Episcopal church in Amsterdam centred around radical inclusion and reconcilliation. Come join us for a service and good food every Sunday at 6 at Vrijburg.

Hello sweet community,

If you’d told me last year that I’d be cycling to Vrijburg every Sunday for All Saints come November 2025, I would’ve laugh-cried. Some of you may remember I triple-fractured my ankle last October. Without the pastoral care, carpools, care packaging, and kindness from this community, I don’t know how I’d be feeling today.

That’s why I’m so grateful for All Saints. Here, I get to explore my faith with seriously bright minds, feel a deep sense of belonging and true community, and enjoy great food! I truly hope it is the same for you. I’m excited to share the beautiful things happening this November at All Saints.

Happening this month at All Saints

  • Every weekday at 09:00, morning prayer on Zoom

  • Sundays at 18:00:

    • Nov. 9: Evening prayer with Zinzy

    • Nov. 16: Eucharist with Mpho

    • Nov. 23: Evening prayer

    • Nov. 30: Evening prayer

  • Next month sneaking in: Sunday December 7, annual general meeting. 🤩 Be there or be square, and read more below!

Thank you, what’s next?

As the year comes to a close, our bishop’s committee is busy making plans for 2026. We’ve received over 5,500 euros in donations from you this year, and more importantly, dozens of you show up in many different forms to build this community with us.

Without your help, none of this would be possible.

Thank you, thank you, thank you

Is that amount enough for us to be a financially self-sustaining church? Absolutely not. This is why we’re eager to draw more people to us without having to be weird Christians about it 🤭. We’d love your help making it happen. We’re a very young community, and it won’t work unless we make it.

Here’s what you can do:

  • 🤝 Do a thing: want to lead evening prayer, help build our online platform, join a city cleanup brunch, make music, or read Scripture? You can! (And let’s face it, given how awesome you are, you should.)

  • 🙋🏽‍♀️ Organise a project: we currently rely heavily on grants, which are difficult to get. Offering meaningful projects that serve the community makes it all a little easier.

  • 😎 Officially join the club: as a member of All Saints, your impact on our future can be more profound. It shows us why being here for you is relevant. Sign up next time you’re at church. Alternatively, 👉🏽 download this form, fill it out, bring it by.

  • 🤓 Bring a friend: we love welcoming new faces, hearing their stories, and sharing a way of doing church they may not have seen before.

  • 🤲🏻 Contribute monthly: your financial support helps us pay our pastors and build fellowship. If you’re able, consider setting up a monthly donation to All Saints. Our details are right here. Don’t forget, we have ANBI status!

  • Put it on your calendar: Sunday December 7, after our normal service, we’ll have our annual general meeting. It’s hybrid, so even if you’re not around, you can jump on Zoom. We’ll be talking about the big, important stuff, and we want to know what you think.

  • In case you missed it, this poem by the late brilliant poet Andrea Gibson was quite the hit at a recent evening prayer gathering. Read “For the Days I Stop Wanting a Body”, and check out Come See Me in the Good Light, an upcoming documentary about her journey with terminal illness.

  • Ever since Mpho’s latest Eucharist, I haven’t been able to get this beautiful song out of my head. Do you have a great song suggestion that we should add to our All Saints Community Vibes playlist? Be sure to let us know!

I can’t wait to see you (again)!

We need you because you need us

All Saints is a young community relying on the contributions of the people who spend time with us. Please consider sharing what you can so that we can continue to be there for each other, and grow into the community we know we can become.
