Who doesn’t love women’s history?
EVERYONE LOVES IT.
Will I give you a lot of facts? No. That takes away from the fun part of this email. But will I tell you Florence Nightingale had a pet owl named Athena? YES, of course. Despite this sounding completely made up, Florence Nightingale, hero of the Crimea (they probably called her that) found a tiny owl on the floor of the Parthenon. So she named it Athena and kept it in her pocket. Which is completely adorable, but then she had to go overseas and told her family, now you feed my owl, and they definitely forgot and the owl died.
