Clara Barton and Einstein

DID YOU KNOW Clara Barton was working in the U.S. Patent Office at the beginning of the Civil War? Then she was like “inventions be damned!” and went to battlefields helping wounded soldiers and then founded the Red Cross with help from FREDERICK DOUGLASS, who honestly was involved in everything in the middle to late 19th century.

If your brain is like mine and you were like “Patent office! Did she know Einstein!”, then lemme save you that moment of history-brain chagrin and remind you Einstein was born in 1879 in Germany and did not come here until 1933 and also the patent office he worked at was in Switzerland. But still! SHIPS IN THE NIGHT basically.
