🗓 July 24th, 2023 | Life figured out
Was told the other day that I have everything figured out.
But it’s not true.
I have everything figured out “for now”, maybe. In reality, I could lose everything by next year.
Life is unpredictable. And that makes it beautiful.
Like the stoics say, everything you have is “borrowed”, you don’t “own” anything.
And it’s literal, when you die you take nothing with you.
So who cares.

🗓 July 25th, 2023 | Stoicism vs Epicureanism
The point is not to become a cold stoic that denies their human nature.
It’s a tool to try to approach a situation rationally.
But we should embrace our emotions. They are what makes us human.
Really in love with Epicureanism lately.

🗓 July 26th, 2023 | Changing your mind
I remember once my mother told me that I change my mind easily. As if it was a bad thing.
"You change your mind so easily, Alex".
Well, that's a good thing. It shows a healthy, plastic brain. It shows that you are still young.
Imagine if we never changed our minds? If we believed today the same things we believed when we were 16?
That's would be so scary.
A recent change I am going through these days is embracing Epicureanism, which is very different to Stoicism.

Woke up with an alarm clock today.
Honestly, it made me realize how blessed I am to wake up whenever I want.
Sleeping deeply and waking up naturally are signals of true wealth for me.

Not sure if you can tell, but I've fallen in love with photography lately.
One thing I have noticed is that people look the most beautiful when they are not trying.
