π July 31st, 2023 | Beautiful machines
Bought a camera recently and have never been this inspired to capture moments.
I have been traveling the world for years and even though my phone has an amazing camera, I have almost nothing to show.
Bought this camera 2 weeks ago and have taken more photos than I had all my life before that.
Just having it in my pocket or my hand while walking outside makes me see the world with my "photographer" eyes.
Even places I have walked by thousands of times now seem new and interesting.
Machines can be beautiful.
π August 1st, 2023 | Embracing entropy
Life is Sysiphitian. You are always tidying your room. You are always working on your diet and body. You are always working on your happiness and fulfillment.
And thatβs fine. Actually itβs even fine. Itβs NORMAL.
We will always be working on ourselves and fighting entropy.
Nothing is static. And nothing is passive.
There is no passive income. There is no passive body. There is no passive happiness.
But of course that doesnβt mean you start every day from zero.
Your hard work doesnβt go to waste. You can maintain easily.
It took blood sweat and tears to reach $500k/year.
Now it takes 2 hours of work per day to maintain.
π The middle way
During my 3 months in Thailand I would see Buddhas everywhere.
I am not a religious person.
But religion (in my humble opinion) is just philosophy or a way of life, that in order to give weight to it and get everyone to follow it, people gave it a face and a supernatural story to it.
And of course I can respect that. Personally, I love "the middle way" concept of Buddhism.
It reminded me of my ideal lifestyle:
- Not too much work (around 20 hours per week)
- Not too much pleasure
- Exercise and discipline
- And having fun
π August 4th, 2023 | Time traveling
Sometimes the way forward is backwards.
Like finding your old self and having a conversation with him or her.
I just went through my Twitter timeline and I prefer my content 10X more than the stuff Iβve been posting this year.
A lot of inspiration from my old self today.
Iβve lost touch in many ways. My appreciation for just running my own business, even if it was making $2k/month was insane.
Now I am running a $500k/year business and some days I take it for granted.
Heck, some days I am barely even grateful and might be complaining about it.
I really do love you, Alex
