BREAKING NEWS: I'm writing a BRUNO novel + WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #1 out this week!
This one will be quick, I promise - especially since I just sent a newsletter out last week!
But I got to share this big news on my socials on Friday - which also happened to be my birthday, wheeee! - and it made sense to share it here, too:
I'm writing a Bruno novel! Yes, that Bruno - the one we don't talk about, from Disney's Encanto. The middle-grade novel, Nightmares & Sueños, is coming later this year from the wonderful team at Disney Books. You can check out the preorder info here, and look at this beautiful cover!
There's not a whole lot I can say about the book beyond what's in the marketing copy - but we've got plenty of time to talk about it! I will say, if you or your family loved Encanto, this book touches on a lot of those themes - and helps set the stage for the movie.
THWIP, THWIP
In other news - Web of Spider-Man #1 comes out this week, featuring a Spider-Man 2099 story by me and the legendary Salvador Larroca, alongside stories by spider-pals Steve Foxe, Zeb Wells, Greg Land, and Ed McGuinness. The issue is chock-full of major Spider-reveals, and our story is no exception - leading right into another Segura/Salva story in May's Edge of Spider-Verse #4! But what's it all pointing to? Well...let's just say Spider-Man 2099 has his marching orders from Madame Web, and he's gonna need some help. More soon, I promise. But for now, pick up Web of Spider-Man #1 wherever comics are sold!
