Dinner Plans?
My kitchen adventures are famous enough on Instagram - time to expand my influence through a newsletter!
Totally just kidding. Anyone who knows me knows I take on this newsletter a bit begrudgingly - I fear it may become a chore, distracting me from doing the actual cooking and learning.
So, what if I just… don’t let it become a chore? My goal is to put one of these out on a regular basis (but not on a schedule), type about whatever food thing interests me at the moment, and, ideally, interact with y’all on said food things!

In that spirit, let’s kick it off with a simple(?) question - what’s for dinner tonight? Plz let me know by replying directly to this email!
We’ll be having mushroom mei fun from The Woks of Life cookbook. I picked this one up from Book Larder, Seattle’s premier cookbook store and an increasingly regular haunt of mine, a couple weeks ago and will be cooking a few things from it over the next few days. First their blog, and now this incredible book? The Leung family has really outdone themselves. I’m especially hype to try their char siu - that’s on the menu for tomorrow! And on the docket for marinating tonight…
