Scarehorn is coming: GET SCARED!
Boo! Just kidding :)
Hello!
It is your friendly neighborhood comedy show co-host letting you know that Airhorn is coming up in just two weeks and it is going to be a DOOZY!
On November 1st, 8pm, we are having our first seasonal celebration: Airhorn presents SCAREHORN. What does the name mean? Basically, we are replacing the air with SCARE, like a halloween nang. There will be ghouls and goblins and frights a-plenty, but there will also be a lot of love and laughs. I’m looking forward to the latter, cos last month was rough on me.
SIDENOTE!
I try to not have this promotional newsletter be where I go to complain, but I must quickly say that while we make a lot of jokes at Airhorn there are some things that are well and truly real. And what is REAL is that last month an intern at the Newtown City Council came to our show and kicked me in the groin. We had what might have been our best show ever, the entire cast was on stage thanking the marvelous crowd, and this punk comes up to congratulate us and “shake hands”. I, being a generous spirit, assumed he was speaking from the heart (the only place I know to speak from). Instead, he kicked me as soon as I took his hand, and dropped me to the floor.
This escalation between the Newtown City Council and Airhorn is getting scary fast. We do not want it to put any of the performers or audience at risk, so we’ve talked to the Community Centre and were able to ban Matty (the double-faced intern) from the building. Which is to say that not only will Scarehorn be the funniest and spookiest show ever, it will also be the SAFEST!
Let’s get into the lineup!
The show’s lineup is wonderful. You got your faves from the Airhorn crew Te-Waiarangi Ratana, Booth the Clown, Alayne Dick, Anna Maclean, Zach Mandeville, Lesa Macleod-Whiting and (coming down from Auckland!) Hoani Hotene. Plus we are delighted to have as guests, the inimitable and incredible LASER KIWI! Whoa what a show!
If this doesn’t pump you up enough, well how about a fricking new AIRHORN TRAILER (made by the wonderful Split TV Productions). Check it out!
I am PUMPED.
Early Bird Tickets almost gone!
To alchemize your excitement into pure action, you can buy tickets for Airhorn now via our ticket link. We still have some early bird tickets but they are running out FAST! With Early Bird you get the whole show for $15! That’s a deal! It’s honestly cheaper than parking in some places, which is absolutely ridiculous. Parking is too damned expensive! But Airhorn is not parking, it’s a funny comedy show, and it’s right across the street from a bus stop. YOU CAN’T LOSE.
Anyway, we’d love to see you at https://airhorn.nz Happy FRIGHTENINGS!
