FUNDING

Anthropic raises $65B at $965B valuation, passing OpenAI

CNBC

Anthropic closed a $65 billion Series H led by Altimeter, Dragoneer, Greenoaks and Sequoia, lifting its valuation to $965 billion and surpassing OpenAI as the most valuable AI startup. The round nearly triples its February valuation of $380 billion and includes $15 billion of previously committed investment, with the company reporting a $47 billion revenue run rate.

Why it matters

A near-trillion-dollar private valuation reorders the AI hierarchy and signals investors now see Anthropic, not OpenAI, as the frontier leader on revenue and momentum.
