🛡️OpenAI Launches Daybreak to Rival Anthropic’s Mythos
OpenAI has launched Daybreak, a new cybersecurity project designed to compete directly with Anthropic’s Mythos and Project Glasswing by helping organizations detect and fix vulnerabilities early in the development process.
The platform applies Codex Security through an agentic system that scans repositories, analyzes attack paths, and patches issues in a secure, isolated environment.
It offers three specialized models: GPT-5.5 for general use, GPT-5.5 with Trusted Access for Cyber for defensive workflows, and GPT-5.5-Cyber for advanced red teaming and penetration testing.

🛒 eBay rejects GameStop's takeover offer
eBay has formally rejected GameStop’s unsolicited $56 billion takeover bid, with chairman Paul Pressler describing the offer as “neither credible nor attractive.”
GameStop had offered $125 per share (a 20% premium), funded partly by $20 billion in debt, but CEO Ryan Cohen was unable to clearly explain how additional capital would be raised.
The rejection could lead to a proxy fight, especially as Cohen stands to gain $35 billion personally if GameStop’s market value reaches $100 billion.

Santa Clara County filed a lawsuit against Meta on Monday, accusing the company of earning billions of dollars annually from scam ads on Facebook and Instagram while systematically failing to curb fraudulent activity.
The complaint cites leaked internal documents showing Meta made up to $7 billion per year from high-risk ads and allegedly implemented “guardrails” that deliberately limited enforcement to protect advertising revenue.
