  • Nvidia has introduced the RTX Spark, a new superchip developed with Microsoft and MediaTek that combines a Blackwell GPU with a custom Arm-based N1X CPU, 128 GB of unified memory, and TSMC’s 3 nm process.

  • Meta has patched a vulnerability in its Instagram AI support tool that allowed hackers to take over prominent accounts by asking the chatbot to change the associated email and send a verification code for password reset.

  • The flaw, active for months after Meta gave its AI password reset capabilities in March, was used to compromise accounts including a dormant Barack Obama White House profile, Sephora, and Space Force Chief Master Sergeant John Bentivegna, with many quickly resold on the gray market.

  • The US Commerce Department has closed a loophole that previously allowed Chinese-headquartered companies to acquire advanced AI chips through overseas subsidiaries without licenses.
