We scored 1,456 SaaS tools for agent-readiness. 89% failed.
The average SaaS tool scores 36.5 out of 100 on agent compatibility. Nearly 9 in 10 score below 40. We scored every one.
We just published the full report: the State of Agent Compatibility 2026.
The top line: out of 1,456 tools scored, the highest is a 58. That's Stripe and Supabase, tied for first. Nobody cracks 60.
The bottleneck is auth. Average auth score: 47.3 out of 100. Most tools still require browser-based OAuth flows — no API keys, no service accounts. Agents can't get in the door.
MCP adoption is nearly zero. Only 2.2% of tools have MCP servers. Only 0.5% publish an llms.txt file. The agent-native infrastructure layer barely exists.
AI-infra tools lead at 46.2 average. Legal and risk tools trail at 24-28. The gap between the most and least agent-ready categories is nearly 2x.
One bright spot: pricing. Average pricing score is 91.9 — nearly every tool has a free tier or trial. The willingness is there. The plumbing isn't.
