Hi, friends:

After a couple years of incredibly enjoyable side hustling, last fall I finally decided to make a go of it as a full-time freelance editor and self-publishing concierge. To that end, I’d love to introduce you to my newly launched business: Felus Editorial Solutions.

At first as a freelancer, I tended to think of myself as “just” an editor. But the more I worked with indie authors on their copyedits, the more I realized that many folks intending to self-publish were eager for additional workflow guidance as well as referrals to other reputable vendors like typesetters and marketing professionals.

I eventually began to see all the knowledge I’d amassed after my two decades in the publishing industry as this incredible asset that had previously been invisible to me yet was actually quite a precious commodity. So I rolled up my sleeves, tapped into my network, and dreamed up a bespoke service to help aspiring authors get their words from the screen to the shelf.

I invite you to check out my redesigned website and learn more about what I’m offering and how I’m offering it. Though of course I’m still more than happy to dig into straightforward copyediting and proofreading projects, if you know anyone exploring their options for publishing outside of a trade or academic press, send them my way. I’d be delighted to chat with them and see if we might be a good fit for working together.

XOXO,

Allison
