🐠 You Can Now Snorkel In These Rare Waters For First Time in 15 Years: Fiji’s Naidiri Village has been running the area’s coastal regions as a Marine Protected Area since 2009, in order to protect the coral areas and improve ocean health. Over the last 15 years, researchers, staff, and students have been the only ones allowed to get in the water there, to ensure that conservation strategies have been given time to take root. This month, however, Naidiri is back in the tourism business, stating: “Now, we want to show you what we have achieved by taking you on the ultimate Fiji coral reef snorkelling experience, with a complementary indigenous village tour.” If you’re interested in a unique day, or week, of diving, head over to the Naidiri Marine Biodiversity Park’s website to schedule your visit.
