Springtime Dreams
Hello everyone! I can’t believe it’s already May! April flew by in a rather unfortunate way, and I couldn’t be happier for a fresh start!
This April, my goal was to begin revisions on my third YA novel. I had wanted to get a little done every day. Unfortunately, in the first week of April I had a horrible allergic reaction that left me pretty much useless all month long. I haven’t had a reaction that bad in a very long time, so it caught me off guard and left me feeling very fatigued.
It was disappointing I couldn’t work more on my book, but in spite of this setback, I was still able to revise the first chapter! So, at least a little progress was made, even if I wasn’t what I was expecting!
I’m starting to feel a lot better, so I’m hopeful I can get more work done this month!
What else have I been up to?
Shepherd Books
I’m really grateful that the team at Shepherd Books contacted me and asked if I would write a guest post on their website this past month!
Shepherd is a website in its beta phase that is a promising alternative to Goodreads. Their aim is to offer better book discovery, which in turn benefits authors.
I had to pleasure of writing them a list of my top five favourite coming of age stories! If you want to see what I picked, click the button below.
Dancing Around the Maypole!
It’s May, spring is in the air, and with spring comes… romance! Now is the perfect time to sink your teeth into some LGBTQ+ romances. If you’re looking for a new read, or your new favourite author, now’s your chance! There’s all kinds of books in this list, from contemporary, to sci-fi, to fantasy. There’s something for everyone in here!
And that’s all I have for this month! I’m hoping I can have a productive May after being set back a bit in April. No matter what, I will go my pace and produce something I’m really proud of!
Until next time!!
