Onto 2026!
Hello everyone! I hope you’ve had a nice holiday season and are looking forward to the New Year.
I’m heading into 2026 with a lot of hope for what lies ahead. Creatively, the past few years have been tough but I feel like I’m finally coming out of the other side.
This year, I made an effort to connect with local authors and the community at large. I attended the Toronto Indie Author Conference and some of their scheduled meet-ups. I also vended at a couple local markets and have plans to do more in 2026. Talking with potential readers face to face was very encouraging and rewarding and I feel more motivated than ever to release more works for them to peruse.
2025 marked the end of my relationship with the publisher of my first two books. It was nerve-wracking and scary to make the choice, but ultimately freeing. I’ve spent the bulk of 2025 preparing my first novel for re-release and have even decided on a release date. I also have begun to brainstorm the re-release of my second novel and the revisions that may be necessary for the second edition.
I will be announcing a release date for I Knew Him and its companion novel, Be True, once both are ready for pre-order. I will also be sending out a form for Advanced Reader Copy reviewers at that time. Be sure to keep an eye out for that newsletter post if you’re interested!
Looking ahead to 2026, my main goal is to publish those two novels. I also have some poetry that I can release in late 2026. Ideally, I’d like to tackle revising We Go Together as well, but a part of me would like to sink my teeth into a new work in progress. So, I may take a break from any more revisions for at least a little bit.
I’m also very excited to get a new writing device in 2026. I pledged on a Kickstarter campaign for a distraction-free writing tool in 2024 and it’s finally ready to be shipped out to backers. I’m anxiously awaiting it now. I’m already thinking about what I want to draft first. I’ll definitely share some pictures when it arrives!
I hope the last few hours of 2025 are good to you all and that you can look forward to 2026 as I am. I’m excited to share with you all he new developments as they happen.
