It's my birthday!!
Hello everyone! I hope you’ve had a pleasant summer thus far. I’ve gone a bit quiet over here and that’s largely because I’ve been busy living life. Back in June, I sold my books at several craft and book markets, and I keep meaning to share that experience with you, but I haven’t had a chance to write that down.
But none of that matters right now because today is my birthday! To celebrate, the ebooks of my latest releases, I Knew Him and Be True will be 99c for this weekend only! Grab em while you can!

Reflections on this past year
This year was a big year for me. It marked a lot of changes. I’ve felt both my worse and my best within the span of a few months. I grabbed my health by the reins and got some much-needed diagnoses. I also began to deal with a chronic issue that’s been building for years due to repetitive desk work and I’m in a lot less pain. I finally got a handle on my sleep schedule. And I left my job of 8 years in pursuit of another role. All of these things were putting such a weight on me that I didn’t even realize. As soon as I began to clear the path, I suddenly had so much more energy and joie de vivre. It can only go up from here!
And in spite of these issues, I had a lot of laughs along the way. I returned to the stage in a theatre production for the first time in over ten years and met some wonderful people. I kept working on my dancing skills and started to learn a new style (jazz). I volunteered for some events/organizations and started to attend a writing group when I could. I started cooking more meals from scratch instead of relying on convenience foods (that lack of sleep was a real killer). I’m exercising more and enjoying it.
It feels like a rebirth in a lot of ways. It’s been a tough year, but I’m also so grateful for it. I feel so much happier and I’m excited for what’s to come.
As for writing, I’ve been working on what feels like five million things at once. At this point, it’s really going to be a battle to see which work in progress I finish first, because I keep rotating which one I work on. I’m starting to explore the possibility of querying agents instead of going the independent route, so it may be a while before I release anything long-form. Querying takes time, but I think for once I’m willing to wait.

I recently joined the WROTE Podcast once more (the first time in six years or so!) to discuss my re-release of I Knew Him and the release of Be True. It was really fun to record this episode and I hope you enjoy listening to it.
