Coming April 15th...

Hello all! I have a special announcement today. My next two releases are now available for pre-order! They will both be released on April 15th, in ebook and paperback.

April 15th is a special day for me, as it was when I Knew Him was originally published back in 2019! I thought it would be fun to keep the same release date all these years later.

If your favourite retailer isn’t selling the book yet, don’t despair! It may take some time for the pre-orders to roll out everywhere. Keep your eyes peeled. The links will update accordingly.

And now, for the books!

I KNEW HIM (2nd edition)

Book cover for I Knew Him by Abigail de Niverville. The cover image is a photo of two silhouettes looking at a purple night sky. One is pointing to the stars. The title is written in cursive and the author name is in sans serif.

In his last year in high school, Julian is determined to make it through without anyone discovering he isn't straight. All he has to do his keep his head down, focus on his studies and basketball, and then, he can finally come out as bisexual in university. To most of the world, at least.

When he's encouraged to audition for the school's production of Hamlet, Julian fears that veering off course will lead to assumptions he's not ready to face. Despite that, he can't help but feel a connection to this play and its title character. Like Hamlet, Julian's father haunts him like a ghost, his ex-girlfriend is refusing to let him go, and he's overthinking everything. The part is practically made for him.

The audition takes Julian on an entirely different path. He's cast as Hamlet, and the boy playing Horatio is unlike anyone Julian has met before. Mysterious and flirtatious, Sky draws Julian in, despite his fears and reservations. As the two grow closer, Julian begins to let out the secrets he's never told. But what will he do if Sky feels the same way?

This second edition is a rewritten version of the original story, which was first published in 2019.

Be True

Book cover for Be True by Abigail de Niverville. The cover image is a photo of two silhouettes walking on a hill with trees in the foreground. The sky is orange and yellow. The title is written in cursive and the author name is in sans serif.

Will Borodin is completely on his own. As the signature "gay kid" of the school, no one but his friend Julian has ever truly been on his side. Now, he and Julian aren't speaking anymore, and it's entirely Will's fault. To make things worse, his crush has been stringing him along at every chance he gets. With prom and graduation looming on the horizon, the fairytale ending Will's always dreamed of is slipping away.

Enter Jesse Gardner. Will has known Jesse for a long time, but they've never been friends. He's too cool, too aloof, and entirely unapproachable. But when Jesse takes a sudden interest in him, Will decides to go against his better judgement, just to see what might happen.

But there are still many hard truths about himself he needs to face. In the coming months, will he finally get the ending he wants, or will he make everything fall apart again?

Set directly after the events of I Knew Him, Be True is a companion novel that can be read as a sequel or a standalone.
