dyed my hair, left a thick grey streak in the underneath of it like a bad road, crooked. went out and counted birds, some on a wire some on the wing. flew some, rested. a redwing blackbird is a sign. the absence of a redwing blackbird, another sign. no answer an answer. walked a mile, walked another. still walking.
