Friday Chatter: What is "autistic writing"?
Everything Is True
Ada Hoffmann's author newsletter
We had some discussion of this on Notes this week (a Substack feature which I’m planning to try more of, but haven’t completely gotten in order for yet). So I wanted to open it up to the whole comment section. What does it mean to you for a book to be an “autistic book”? If you are autistic, does everything you write inevitably reflect an autistic perspective? Or does some of what you write feel autistic, and some feel more general? (If you don’t write or aren’t autistic, feel free to talk about other autistic people’s writing, or about things you would hypothetically write.)
