We’ve had some lovely discussion already in the comments to Tuesday’s post, talking about the difficulties of being an autistic author and having a slightly different way of thinking about character, relatability, and agency. Today I want to shift the discussion just slightly. What are some characters (autistic or otherwise) who are very relatable to you as a non-neurotypical reader? What are some characters who square the circle of “agency” especially well for you? (I’ll start us off, in a comment below.)
