No post this week because I am traveling! Specifically I am in Waterloo, Ontario, at the Fourteenth International Conference on Computational Creativity, presenting a short paper called “Should we have seen the coming storm? Transformers, society, and CC.”

(For the non-technically-inclined: “Transformers” here doesn’t mean “robots in disguise,” it means the specific type of attention-based neural network architecture, called a “transformer model,” which underlies programs like DALL-E and GPT-4.)
