Actions for Obsidian: iOS TestFlight!

Hello, Productivity Friends!

My name is Carlo and I'm the author of the Actions for Obsidian app for macOS & iOS. You're receiving this email because you signed up for updates about the app on my website some time ago.

I'm actually, literally, truly excited because the iOS TestFlight is finally open! 🎉

Please take a look at the app itself but, more importantly, put the Shortcuts actions through their paces. Your workflows created on macOS should be usable without modification, as all actions except "Open Vault" and "Close Vault" are available on both platforms.

If you find a problem or have any comments, please use the prominent Feedback button in the app. I'm looking forward to your input! 👍🏼

An Update on iOS Pricing

I've received a few questions regarding iOS pricing, so here's the gist.

Just like on macOS, you'll be able to choose one of three pricing levels ("S," "M," and "L"), depending on how much you think is fair, as described in my last email (see "How much does Actions for Obsidian cost?"). These levels differ only in price, the licenses work the same. (The following examples assume a "M"-level.)

If you already have a macOS-only License, you can purchase an iOS upgrade at a discount. For example: You've purchased a macOS-only License for $12, the iOS upgrade is $8 (total: $20).

If you just need an iOS-only License, it has the same price as the macOS-only License, i.e. $12. You can get a macOS upgrade at a later date, of course.

If you want to use Actions for Obsidian on both iOS and macOS, you can purchase a Combo License, which costs the same as a single-platform license + upgrade, i.e. $20.

For more on the trial period and the reasoning behind the different pricing levels, please see the related FAQ entry.

What's next?

I'll be watching the TestFlight closely, and implement the purchasing functionality. Also, I'll record a few screencasts, which is something I've postponed in favor of iOS development. (Sorry about that.)

And last but not least, a few issues in the underlying Actions URI plugin for Obsidian need my attention.

Thanks for reading!
