Updates and events
Hello! I’ve been seeing a lot of fun animals lately. In the past week I’ve seen a wild pig, a flock of hawks, a very large lizard with a neck flap, and a cool spider. I’ve been trying to be more intentional about going outside and existing in nature and it’s been nice to experience the bounties of Outside in all their glory.
Upcoming Events
I’m going to another zinefest! I’ve been accepted into DCAZ in Jacksonville and I’m so excited. Here is the poster with all the information. It’s by the artist Janisha Ocaña (@janishacolors on instagram)

When DCAZ happened last year I lamented about not being able to go, so it’s so cool that I’m gonna be tabling at it just a year later. I can’t wait! I’ll have all my zines and a (very) small collection of my stickers.
What’s new
The found poetry workshop at the Repurpose Project went fantastically! It was so fun and I got a great poem out of it:

I also release a new zine! It’s part playlist, part perzine and explores my experiences with psychosis through music. It’s called 10 songs to lose your mind to and you can get a digital copy here or a physical copy here.

What’s cooking
For the past few months, I’ve been working on a new interactive fiction game (this one with visuals!) called THE OCEAN WELCOMES YOU and I’ve been slowly and steadily making progress on it.
I’m learning a new-to-me engine called VIDEOTOME:ADV to make it, so there’s been a learning curve as I get used to how it works, but the engine is designed to be lightweight and it delivers on that promise, so it luckily hasn’t been too hard.
The game is about a Clue-esque murder mystery at an eccentric millionaire’s manor that abruptly devolves into a horror as the story itself hungers for more bodies to add to its mass and tries to go after you, the player of the game. It’s inspired by the movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, the TV show Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne, the visual novel Umineko No Naku Koro Ni, and the concept that every murder mystery is inherently a tragedy.
I’m really leaning into the point-and-click vibes and having fun figuring out the writing for the turning point of the game. I think it’s going to be good! I’m still working on the first draft of writing so it’s not going to get a release date for a long time, but get hype preemptively.

Recently I had reason to think about audio projects I’ve done and I remembered how proud I am of TK VISION. So behold: TK VISION!

TK VISION is an audio/zine exploration of schizophrenia through a whirlwind of different genres. It follows the happy-go-lucky TK as they navigate their symptoms for an ever-shifting audience. Joined by a few friendly and not-so-friendly faces, TK VISION showcases what it's like having a brain that feels like it belongs in another universe. Or quite a few different universes.
It’s a zine + a fully voice-acted audio drama all wrapped into one! You can just read the zine or just listen to the audio or both. If you’d like a physical copy of the zine + a CD of the audio (or just an MP3) you can get that here
