Hello! Today at work I made a cardboard megalodon with a kid without using any tutorials or templates. It turned out so good! The mouth opens and closes and the tail moves from side to side. I’ve never been prouder of a cardboard creation. I also recently finally got a raspberry pi media server set up in my house and have been sharing it with friends. I’m running a workshop soon! Join me at the Civic Media Center in Gainesville on November 10 from 3pm-5pm to learn more about divesting from streaming services (not just spotify! stop giving disney+/apple music/etc your money!) and plenty of completely free and simple alternatives. I’ll also be going over how to create your own personal media library and even set it up in a way that your friends can access it from their own homes/devices too.
After the workshop, I’ll be posting my presentation on my website so everyone can access the information. If you ever wanted to get started or have any questions, email me at goinghost@disroot.org! I will try my best to answer.
I’ll be at Rainbow Market in Jacksonville at Solune Coffee on November 15 from 12pm-4pm! This is my second ever out-of-town market after I did DCAZ this year and I’m really excited for it. I’ve wanted to go to a Rainbow Market for forever and I think it’s fitting that the first one I’ll be attending is also the first one I’ll be vending at.
