First newsletter and GNV Zinefest wrap-up!
Hello! Welcome to the a.c.d works newsletter, where I share everything cooking in the a.c.d works factory in an effort to jump ship off corporate social media.
I don’t want to impose too rigid a structure on myself with these updates because I’m worried that will stop me from writing them, but I do want to have some guidance so here’s how they’ll likely be formatted:
Intro paragraphs about how I’m doing
Upcoming markets, new releases, or any other news-worthy events
Some thoughts about whatever I want to talk about today (which can include nothing!)
A recommendation from the a.c.d works archives (AKA a published creative project of mine that I want to share)
With that structure laid out, let’s get started on those updates!
What’s New
Today is the Monday after a weekend of GNV Zinefest! I was at the Sequential Arts Workshop on Saturday and the Civic Media Center on Sunday slinging zines, a smaller selection of my bumper stickers than usual, and collage prints! I’ve been wanting to get prints of some of my collages for ages so I’m glad I got them together for Zinefest and thank you to everyone who picked one up from my table.
I met so many amazing zinesters and artists and writers and had some incredible conversations about making art and zine culture and being trans and queer. Can’t wait to attend many more GNV Zinefests in the future!
Here are just SOME of the cool people I met:
And many more!
As for new art: I just posted a new digital collage. You can find it on my website here. It’s about my chronic gallstones that shouldn’t exist, how they make me feel, and what I do to cope with them. I love collages because I feel like I can be trying to say so much with so little and that’s definitely true of GALL STONE FRUIT.

Speaking of collages, I was really happy that a couple people at Zinefest looked at my joint digital collages A TALE IN TWO ACTS so I’m reminding the world of my newsletter that they exist. You can look at them on my website here. But if you don’t want to bother with a link, here they are:

And I’ll leave it at that!
