Events and game updates
Hello! This weekend I took a surprise trip to St. Augustine because it had the closest theater playing Wake Up Dead Man. My partner and I stood in the surf for a good half hour just letting it wash over our feet. It was too cold to swim, but I only needed to breathe in the ocean air. I think if I started making monthly trips to stand in the ocean, all my problems will be solved somehow.
Upcoming Events
I’m going to be at Orlando Zinefest on Saturday, December 13th at Blackbird Comics and Coffeehouse in (you guessed it) Orlando from 7pm-9pm! I’m so excited to be tabling at another zinefest. I might even have a new zine to premiere there (if I can finish it in time)
I’m also going to be running a remote version of my De-google Your Life workshop! Join from anywhere in the world on December 15th at 7pm EST by going to this link.
Join for a short presentation about the why and how of divesting, as well as a look at different open-source and privacy-focused alternatives. Then an hour and a half of body doubling dedicated to making new accounts, switching emails, or anything else you might need. Let’s de-google together!
New game release date announcement
I’ve posted on social media and on this newsletter before about my next interactive fiction game, THE OCEAN WELCOMES YOU. It’s a classic whodunnit murder mystery that devolves into a horror as the game itself seeks out more bodies. Well I have good news…………It now has a release date!
THE OCEAN WELCOMES YOU will be released on January 26, 2026.
It will be available to play for free on my itchio and on my website! I’ll probably put out a newsletter specifically announcing its release.
I’ve been working on this game for over a year now, so I’m very excited for it to finally be out in the world soon.
