The list of days, weeks, and months set aside to raise awareness about older adults adn people with disabilities is as long and diverse as the community it describes. As we start off 2026, it is a good time to look through your calendar and consider how to help raise awareness of aging and disabilities in your community. Part of the challenge seniors and people with disabilities face is the general public’s lack of awareness. Each of us can take a small step to change that.
We have provided a listing of the 2026 awareness days, weeks and months that center or disability and aging at ta11y.org. Each period celebrates or raises awareness for a specific topic.
