The justification for supporting Mikheil Saakashvili’s appointment to Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic reforms is apparently to preserve the sacred memory of whatever happened in Georgia twenty years ago.

In other news, there’s a hole in the bucket. Six of them, actually, punched with nails to facilitate drainage, in an enormous galvanized container that until recently held birch sap. The tree was gnawed at by a Groenendael. It’s what they do.
