001 - Is "Hello World" Still a Thing?
I fondly remember the days everyone created their own wordpress website, and the first blog post was always titled Hello World. Is that still a thing today?
Today marks the end of a long week, at the end of an interesting month. Exactly a month ago, I made the decision for me to fly back to Kenya to be with my family during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like most people, I've been following the news closely to learn more about COVID-19 and how countries like Canada, the US, and Kenya are reacting. It's extremely heartbreaking but also exciting to see how the world will change.
A big part of what I've seen in the news, especially the effects of COVID-19 in developing countries is what's driven me to organize the virtual quiz night fundraiser next Saturday April 25th at 5pm EST. If you like quizzes or helping folks impacted by COVID-19, then consider taking part!
Personally, the last 10 days have been enlightening. I feel like after months of trying to figure out what my next steps are from a career perspective, I finally have a plan forward that feels right. I'll share more about this over the next few months, so stay tuned!
