The Fortnight in A Bad Education Towers #009
Intro
Two in a row kinda sent out on time? Thats not too bad, right?
New Stuff
Only a new Mean Machines Audit video this week:
Which is a decent game, it's just the fact that you don't get the big fancy robot suit straight away that massively irks me. It's on the front of the box, all over the title screen but you have to go through two stages to get it. Which I failed to do. Nope. No thank you.
Besides that, been working on a video on Darkplace which shouldn't take too long to finish but things will be a bit trickier to work on from now on. See, my wife works shifts including evenings and nights so every couple of weeks or so I'd have a whole evening just to work on a video or to record stuff or whatever. But now she has a new regular 9 to 5 job so won't have that any more. So it'll be interesting to see how that goes, I'll try to make time to work on stuff when I can which being at home all the time in lockdown helps with. I mean, I'm still working a 9 to 5 job from home but being able to swipe across from work stuff to video stuff at lunch does make things a bit easier.
TLDR; weekly videos might have a few hiccups but we'll see.
Yes, I have ordered stuff already
I saw this tweet about this crazy awesome looking video game shop thats literally hundreds of miles away from me which made me sad about the death of indie game shops. I think at one point there was like 6 separate video game shops in my local town centre? The game the great Gamestation/Electronics Boutique/Game mergers which got rid of a few of those then the indie shops all shut up shop, one retro place clung on till about three or four years ago but then they went leaving a CEX and a Game and thats it. Suppose its the same for record shops and that, all crushed by Amazon and places like that. But those photos though, seeing all that stuff to browse through and look at is amazing. I'd love a place like that nearby but opening a shop in the middle of a pandemic is a pretty brave move. Which is why I've, ahem, shown my support and stuck my name down on a couple of things.
Skarsgard was the best bit
Got around to watch AEW Full Gear which was a cracking show, a good mix of stuff from the flippy tag team action through the nuts cinematic stuff from Matt Hardy ending with some proper violence with Moxley and Eddie Kingston. I've pretty much fell off the WWE products, although I did watch the NXT UK match between WALTER and Dragunov which was as stiff as the lumber section of B&Q. Seriously though, if you only make time to watch one match then thats the one, the two guys really earned all of the 5 stars this match has been given.
Outro
It's still nearly Christmas! Whoop!
