Chesed is Lovingkindness, pure love and endless mercy for others and the Divine. He is the first Sephirah below the Supernal Triad, the great majestic architect and most charitable channeler. His virtue is Obedience, for only through kingly discipline can one achieve true freedom. His vices are bigotry, hypocrisy, gluttony, and tyranny -- the shadows of rulership. Chesed governs perception, apprehension, and consciousness. His symbols are the solid figure, the Tetrahedron, the Pyramid, the Equal-armed Cross, the Orb, the Wand, the Sceptre, and the Crook.

TITLES: Adeptus Exemptus is assigned to Chesed; the term Exemptus, or exempt, indicating that freedom from karma which liberates from the Wheel.

Beri'ah is the great sea of the Supernal Mother. The Archangels reside here, shaping the divine patterns into blueprints of existence. Chesed and Geburah redound upon one another in this world. It corresponds to the element of Water and the Queen Scale of color.
