Tarot #11. Justice⚖️
Path #11 in the journey of the Tarot Major Arcana. Justice!

Justice holds the scales in perfect equilibrium, the sword of discernment unsheathed. Equity, rightness, probity, executive power -- she weighs every action, every intention, every consequence. True harmony requires honest reckoning, every imbalance properly adjusted. Reversed: Law in all departments, bigotry, bias, excessive severity. The sword cuts without the scales to guide it.
UPRIGHT: Equity, Rightness, Probity, Executive
REVERSED: Bigotry, Bias, Excessive severity, Rigid law
Justice is when the sword finally falls, totally true, for better or worse, of fair disclosure in matters of the law and of Damoclean apocalypsis in matters of the spirit. Justice could be the hardest card in the deck. Justice is like heavy metal with an inner jazz to it; the solos of astral guitarist John Petrucci can be likened to the musician’s form of highest justice, aficionado artistry. Justice is Batman. Justice also takes a great amount of time to develop. But there can be no debate - Justice is absolute Truth and must eventually be faced up with. Without Justice, there can be no civil society; with excessive pursuit of “justice”, you may just enter a police state.
On the journey, the hero must absolutely face the music…
Bottom Line: When you face Justice, deliver yourself before the Fair Truth.
Tree of Life Path: Geburah to Tiphareth -- Severity ⟷ Beauty. The astral discernment of being able to slice toward unity, to use the discipline of trueborne integrity to reach the creative heart.
A. E. Waite quote: “It will be seen that the figure is seated between pillars, like the High Priestess, and on this account it seems desirable to indicate that the moral principle which deals unto every man according to his works--while, of course, it is in strict analogy with higher things--differs in its essence from the spiritual justice which is involved in the idea of election.”
