A Little Surprise For You
This is it.
The last newsletter before release.
(Don’t worry, I still have plenty of cool stuff to share after the release!)
As you probably already know, Wednesdays will come out next Wednesday (March 26th) and this weird small game could use all the help it can get to gain some visibility!
If you subscribed to this newsletter, it probably means you’re interested in the project and might want to support it. If that’s the case, I will detail in this email how you can help.
BUT FIRST, A GIFT:

We made a Wednesdays Character Creator!
(well… Exaheva made it)
Try it here: https://picrew.me/en/image_maker/2620012
You can use it to create your own cube head character, use it as profile pic, share it on social media, pin it on your bedroom wall… Whatever you want (as long it’s not commercial use)!
I’m having a lot of fun with it and I hope you will too!
Now back to business: How to help with Wednesday's release?

1 - Buy the game (early)
If you intend to buy Wednesdays, it could make a difference if you buy it on release day. It pleases the ~Algorithm~ and we kinda depend on the ~Algorithm~.
But where to buy it?
If you have a Steam account and use it regularly, you probably should buy it on Steam. It will be a little cheaper (VAT included) and probably more convenient for you.
If you do buy it on Steam however, it would mean a lot if you could leave a review after playing, good or bad, once again, the ~Algorithm~ likes it.
If you don’t have a Steam account, have no idea of what that even means or don’t want to give your money to monopolistic companies, then you should buy Wednesdays on itch.io.
You won’t need to create an account or anything. You just need to fill a short form with your name, location and credit card information in order to download the game, just like for any online shop.
It might be a little more expensive (because the VAT aren’t included) BUT you’ll also get an exclusive artbook showing the art process behind Wednesdays.
If you have an itch.io account, also feel free to rate the game and leave a comment, it always helps!

2 - Share the game
If you follow me or Wednesdays on any social media (Mastodon, Bluesky, Instagram), every repost/like before, during or after release day can help.
Also feel free to share our character maker on your socials: I called it a “gift” before, but let’s be honest: it’s more of a weird (and cool I hope?) marketing ploy!
But social media isn't the best way to reach people. You are.
If you do enjoy the game, tell your friends and family IRL. Share it in your group chats, post it on your Discords, mail it to whoever you think might enjoy it. Be loud. I want to believe that the more we talk about Wednesdays, the more we’re talking about child sexual abuse, and I think that’s a good thing.

3 - Enjoy the game
Ok, this is not really a “way to help” but I needed a third part and wanted to end on a more personal note.
Wednesdays is the result of ~2 years of work by an amazing team of artists who put a lot of love into it. Sure, we’d love the game to sell well, but most of all, we want its players to enjoy it.
We want to make you laugh, we want to make you cry (only good tears!), we want to make you think, we want to make you feel a tiny bit better after playing the game, and, why not, we want the World to be a tiny bit better too.
So, if you do enjoy Wednesdays, if it moves you, if it changes you, if it helps you, please feel free to tell us, using any channel you want (even replying to this email should work).
That’s what we live for.
See you next Wednesday!
