Bloody Brief #4
I am going to keep this short because
I actually started writing this newsletter on March 25th
Things happened
I don't feel like talking about it yet but/and
I want to get this newsletter out today, it's already running a bit late, my bad.
Don't worry, I copied and pasted what I was going to share in to another doc so I can share it later. The basic gist of what I was going to write is:
Shit's fucked, but we're still working on our game, kind of because shit's fucked? And because we can still work on our game.
In case it wasn't abundantly clear, Vampire the Taskerade is an anti-capitalist game. Capitalism is ruining a lot of shit, the games industry and games included. Making this game means going up against this system and it is already kind of wacky and it won’t get easier. But our philosophy over here is:

I’m not going to speechify. Times are wacky at best. It’s very wild to think nothing we put in the game could be as cruel or predatory as what is unfolding irl.
Upcoming Events
Steam Page: Still TBD
Narrascope: June 20th-22nd in Philadelphia, I (Tristan) will be doing a talk with Camerin Wild.
Attention/Dinero
Did you know that there is now a union for video game workers that anyone (not in a management position) can join? Announced at GDC, this union hopes to organize and mobilize workers in order to stabilize our careers and help protect us from greedy corporate practices. It is a direct join union which means you do not have to be employed by a specific studio to join! You can be a contractor (like me). Currently only open to workers in the USA and Canada, you can read more about here at their FAQ. I (Tristan) joined! If you join, that means that we’re comrades. Nice.
Well, that's the news for now!
