The AI Slop Presidency

Donald Trump owns his own social media site, which he uses to announce official United States policies. Before his election, this sort of thing would have been a huge scandal. Truth Social has proposed a massive fee ($100,000 PER MONTH) for institutions to get early access to the president’s posts. This is so they can make stock trades and other financial decisions based on the president’s announcements before the public sees them.

Democrats have urged companies not to partake in the program rather than screaming bloody murder about one of the largest ethical breaches in US history. The ethical conflict of the president running a private social media site is barely mentioned now and neither the national media nor his supporters pay much attention to his posts. That’s because the president often posts hundreds of times in a single day and nearly all of it is AI generated memes. He often posts nearly identical ones several times in a row. Even with his approval rating as low as it is now, it would be lower if people saw what he was actually saying.

As of writing, the president has posted on Truth Social 63 times today. Somewhere around 37 of these are AI generated garbage.

Here are a few of the things the president of the United States of America wants you to see. I will not be linking to his site, but each screenshot is my own, taken during writing. These are ONLY from today.

Yes, that’s Donald Trump saving a time traveling George Washington from falling off of Mount Rushmore in a fake movie ad.
Another AI slop movie poster. The United States president spends a good portion of his days posting fake movie posters of himself.
This one seems innocuous until you realize Trump has imposed massive tariffs on Canada for the express reason of wildfire smoke entering the US. We are taxing goods from an ally because there is a fire there.
He frequently posts about running illegally in 2028. Multiple posts from today are along these lines.
I have been writing about the dangers of Donald Trump for a decade now. I am typically quite good at translating his broken mind but I have no idea what this image is meant to convey and I suspect he does not either. My only guess is a reference to “the storm,” a common Qanon trope.
Yeah…
Did we not just see this?
It was very important for the United States to show the world all three versions of this.
The United States has taken zero Iranian oil tankers.
No, not even this one.
Or this one.
Or that one.
Nope. Not the same as the last one. But surely it’s the last one.
No, but this one with stereotypical Muslims jazzhanding their way into the ocean is.

Yes, the United States president posted 6 different versions of the exact same AI garbage about the United States taking over Iranian oil tankers.

Firstly, no strike on Kharg has taken place. Certainly not with jets that have a cockpit on both ends nor with jets that somehow angle the exhaust plumes from their afterburners straight down to burn buildings. Some of the tankers here have multiple bridges and one of them is on land. This is an official message from the United States government.
The United States president frequently posts AI slop attacking his critics like Rosie O’Donnell.
We do not talk enough about how this is the way the president spends his days.
This was not his only AI post attacking Chris Christie today. You see the joke here is that Christie is FAT! Get it? He’s fat. The president wants you to know that Chris Christie is fat.
For months now, Donald Trump has been attacking CNN’s Kaitlin Collins for not smiling enough. No one in the room has objected to his sexist attacks. No Republican will condemn it. He’s now called multiple women reporting on him fat, pigs, disgusting, stupid… etc… Republicans simply ignore it. He’s depicted her here as trans actress Dylan Mulvaney because they hate trans people as much as they hate women.

Last year the president posted an AI slop video of himself in the Oval Office announcing he was giving every American access to a “medbed” which would cure every disease. The White House was asked ONE question about this and the reply was that Trump was very good at social media.

Earlier this year, Trump posted an AI generated image announcing he was sending the USNS Mercy to Greenland to address people there who were sick and not being taken care of by Greenland. The Mercy was in drydock and when it left, it moved up the Pacific coast rather than headed to Greenland. The ship cannot actually dock anywhere in Greenland and there was no medical situation there, especially as Greenland has universal healthcare. The president announced we were sending a boat, which we were not, to a country it cannot be sent to, to address a medical situation which did not exist. The White House never bothered defending this one and reporters stopped asking any questions about it.

Not a single word of this post was true.

Nothing about today was particularly unusual. In fact, there are days where Trump posts FAR more than he has today. And it’s always the same - page upon page of garbage AI memes. And almost no one ever talks about it.
